TAKE Supply Chain™: Paving the Way for Smoother Supply Chain Workflow Automation

TAKE Supply Chain

Brad Huff, EVP & General Manager, TAKE Supply ChainBrad Huff, EVP & General Manager
To keep pace with the competitive global marketplace, supply chain systems are becoming more complex to satisfy the increased velocity of transactions. To overcome supply chain issues, CIOs require systems that can manage a high level of complexity with virtually no downtime and robust security, given the constant threat of cyber-attacks. For an efficient supply chain process, organizations need a fast and qualitative solution to reduce the time taken to execute their supply chain planning. Fulfilling these requirements, Austin-based TAKE Supply Chain™ offers a comprehensive suite of integrated business planning solutions, delivering enhanced customer service at lower cost and lower inventory, with improved visibility and accuracy.

“Our main focus was to create a mobility solution, specifically for Oracle’s ERP solution, to extend the ERP transaction outside the traditional four walls of the enterprise,” says Brad Huff, EVP and General Manager at TAKE Supply Chain. The company’s unique GeminiSeries® mobile data collection software assists the warehouse, manufacturing or shop floor to deliver a single source of traceability and improve accuracy and optimization. Further, TAKE Supply Chain underwent a holistic development, alongside strategic acquisitions that led to the development of its platform—OneSCM®. “The OneSCM platform provides our host customers the ability to collaborate with their direct material suppliers and customers to manage end-to-end order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes,” explains Huff.

OneSCM® also assists the seamless workflow of client enterprises with automation and graphical workflow business models that are tailored to fit perfectly in the foundational layer of an enterprise. Huff cites, “We provide a platform in a scalable model that allows us to sit down with our customers and decide upon an efficient supply chain program that is best for them and how they add a relationship with their suppliers who will also work with them on building out programs.”

OneSCM provides our host customers the ability to collaborate with their direct material suppliers and customers to manage order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes

Citing an instance, TAKE Supply Chain’s OneSCM® is implemented by Applied Materials—a manufacturer of advanced semiconductor, flat panel display and solar photovoltaic products. Applied Materials faced a serious issue as the company had to procure more than 25,000 raw materials from 400 different Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) per week. Updates to Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) unit drove over 30,000 changes to the suggested date and quantity on open purchase order lines every week. The tailored supply chain collaboration solution from TAKE enabled accurate, real-time information and enhanced controls from the initial order to just-in-time parts delivery for consumption on the manufacturing shop floor. As a result, Applied Materials has realized $22 million in savings with an ROI of nearly 500 percent and $2.5 million in recurring annualized savings.

The supply chain solutions are complemented with TAKE Supply Chain’s growth, that enables its host customers seamless workflow automation. The firm is focused on high-availability solutions that they provide their customers, where it operates 24x7, 365 days globally.

As a person well versed with time management, Huff believes in providing paperless accounting of transactions with upgrades tied to OneSCM® to perform tasks efficiently in less time. Soon TAKE Supply Chain will be incorporating disaster recovery solutions, which is believed to advance the level of their customer satisfaction to a new altitude.
